I came to massage through my own personal transformation. My first career was in medical informatics. I worked with software engineers, doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and librarians...together we created the content for diagnostic-decision-support applications. I gained a wealth of knowledge about the physical body, diseases, and our healthcare system. My journey started in Houston, Texas at Physix, Inc (now part of GE medical systems) and continued at PKC (now AskMD owned by ShareCare Inc) in Burlington, Vermont.
I left a corporate environment to soak up the sun, open my heart, and learn massage at the Santa Fe School of Massage in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I focused on the details of anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology. And, little by little I saw the deep impact of the healing arts. My receptivity to many teachers created an openness to many clients and conditions. My inspiration is grounded each day by clients, colleagues, mentors, and the caring practitioners who help me.

Santa Fe School of Massage
Years of medical writing at PKC, provided me with a rich knowledge base. I read medical research and synthesized thousands of details related to headaches, sleep problems, dizziness, vertigo, ringing in the ears, anxiety, depression, and psychosis.
Coauthor of the Spasmodic Torticollis Massage Guidebook. I collaborated with Reese Myra Murphy to write a massage guidebook for spasmodic torticollis -- a movement disorder that affects the neck and upper back.
Coauthor of the Nurturing Therapeutic Massage Techniques Manual with the Santa Fe School of Massage. After graduating from the school, I assisted my mentors and documented their massage techniques.
I am a part-time massage therapist that carefully balances my massage business and my family-centered lifestyle. Both roles are immensely important to me. Beyond my studio work, I am the mother of a spirited and soulful young girl and the wife of a carpenter -- who is artistic, hard-working, and can build or fix anything.
